Urban concrete furniture for the CATEDRA BLANCA CONTEST CEMEX-ITESM, Valencia (Spain)
Bi-polar comes from new ways of using furniture. Over time the use of furniture and furnishings has evolved, adopting new positions for sitting, especially in younger users. Assuming that these alternative uses degrade the furniture, we worked with the idea of a new structure that allows this type of alternative uses.
The base material, according to the contest, had to be concrete for its durability and low maintenance. With this hypothesis and in order to reduce to a minimum volume and provide greater dynamism to the piece, did this piece designed to sit on top, while the sloping base provides support for feet and support bank on the ground
